A H Baldwin & Sons Ltd Auction 61: A large selection of British Eighteenth Century Tokens (over 400 lots) are coming up for auction at Baldwin & Sons on Tuesday 26th May 2009. There will also be British Nineteenth Century Tokens, Engraved Coins, Medals, Badges, Tickets & Passes in the auction.

Good Money in London: On Thursday October 9, 2008 the Institute for Economic Affairs, a UK free-market think-tank, will hold a launching of George Selgin's book "Good Money". March 31 is the early registration deadline for Summer Seminar, June 21-27 and June 28-July 4 in Colorado Springs. Useful(?)Text Message Tools: So you're nowhere near your computer and you just absolutely need to know the price of gold or what the bid is on a conder token auction you are following? No problem ... well not if you have a cell phone handy and small, nimble thumbs ... simply text "goldspot" to 41411 to get the latest spot price and trends on gold ...and for latest bid info as well as closing time on that token just text the word "auction" plus a space followed by the item number of the auction ... once again to 41411 ... and yes, you will have to know a 12 digit auction number to use this last tool. Then there is "topnews" followed by name or subject you are looking for news about, such as "stolen coins", to get recent headline on that name or subject. Also be advised that text message rates of 10-20 cents per message may apply depending on your phone service plan.

Token References at Google Books: A recent discussion in the Conder Group at Yahoo has revealed that there are some great token references to be found free online at Google books. You can find them by going to http://books.google.com/ , searching for tokens, then limiting the search to "full view" ... or by following this link to token references at Google. Some of these books are also available on CD from euriskodata on eBay. Thanks for the tip guys.
